POLL: Lauren Boebert’s low favorability makes her beatable, but Democrats need better name recognition

ASPEN, Colo. – (June 29, 2022) – A new poll from Center Street PAC (www.centerstreetpac.com), a nonpartisan political action committee, shows Rep. Lauren Boebert (CO-03) holds a 39% favorability within her district, while 44% of her constituents have an unfavorable view of her. While Boebert’s low favorability show an opportunity for Democrats to pick up the congressional seat, the survey showed a major gap in name awareness for Democrat challenger Adam Frisch.

While 93% of respondents are aware of Lauren Boebert, the survey results show she isn’t popular.

“Boebert’s is absolutely beatable. Her low favorability numbers are unusual for a Congressional incumbent,” says Center Street Co-Founder Matt O’Brien. “People have strong feelings about her, one way or the other, so there are few persuadable voters left for her to win over. But Democrats have a heavy lift given the numbers.”

With Adam Frisch declared the Democratic nominee in the June 28 primary, he will need to overcome low name awareness. Neither of his two primary opponents, Sol Sandoval and Alex Walker, were well known, either.

“The results show this race is definitely winnable for Adam Frisch, but he has a big task ahead, with name awareness this low.” says Center Street Chief Analytics Officer Dr. Kurt Jetta. “He’ll need to build awareness to competitive levels, and then he still has to establish a favorable impression of himself. Establishing a credible alternative to Lauren Boebert will take a sizable investment.”

Center Street has determined the CO-03 Congressional race is competitive and has added it to their selected list of 2022 midterm races. The PAC uses a unique analytics model, developed by expert Dr. Jetta, to choose a select number of winnable races where an impact can truly be made. A 30-year innovator in consumer analytics, Dr. Jetta applies his consumer analysis developments to political analysis.

“Lauren Boebert’s low favorability is just one indicator that Adam Frisch would be better for CO-03. Boebert is an extremist who has demonstrated time and again that she’s unfit to serve, and Center Street will focus some of our 2022 midterm efforts to helping defeat her,” says Center Street Co-Founder Jacob Perry.
