FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – (June 21, 2022) – Center Street PAC (www.centerstreetpac.com), a nonpartisan political action committee, announced the appointment of Ocean Bridge Media (OBM) as the media strategy and planning agency. OBM (www.oceanbridgegroup.com) will manage advertising placements for Center Street’s interests in several upcoming races, including Ohio’s United States Senate seat and Washington’s Third Congressional District (WA-03) Representative.
With OBM’s advisement, Center Street plans to make significant investments in strategic marketing placements, with six-figure spends in Ohio to support Democrat Senate candidate Rep. Tim Ryan, and Republican incumbent Rep. Jaime Herrera-Beutler in WA-03.
Center Street is a nonpartisan super PAC designed to combat the destructive tribalism threatening democracy by supporting credible candidates against extremist challengers and incumbents, regardless of political party. Founded by former Republican strategist Jacob Perry and private businessman Matt O’Brien, Center Street advocates for the election of candidates who demonstrate stable and effective governing policies.
“One of the ways Center Street differs from other PACs is in our targeted approach to races,” says Perry. “We’re using a unique analytics model that allows us to identify races where our involvement can make a difference and result in wins. OBM shares a similar approach to media strategy, which will allow us to make a stronger impact with our investment.”
Center Street has developed an unparalleled data set, led by Chief Analytics Officer Dr. Kurt Jetta, Ph.D. A 30-year innovator in consumer analytics and former CEO of TABS Analytics, Dr. Jetta applies his consumer analysis developments to political analysis, allowing Center Street to determine and choose a select number of winnable races.
Similarly, OBM offers media measurement analytics, providing access to heat maps across more than 400 congressional districts. Having worked closely with Dr. Jetta to develop their measurement process, OBM places high value on efficiency and ROI.
“We combine experienced political media planners with innovative marketing technologies, allowing us to target consumers and voters at scale by platform and geography,” said OBM President Cary Herrman. “Center Street will be able to effectively target voters with key messaging, allowing candidates to get their message out when it comes to decision time.”
“Connected TV is expected to account for $1.5 billion in political advertising spend in 2022 while local linear TV could take in $5.5 billion from political advertising in 2022, which is up 22% from $4.5 billion in 2018,” says Herrman. “The Linear allows a broad stroke while the CTV gives us a surgical instrument to target specific, desirable voters with the messaging.”
Using AiLFA™, Artificial intelligence Learning for Advertising, an advanced AI technology trademarked by OBM, the agency can customize media. AiLFA™ can learn not only which voters to deliver a message to, but what message resonates best and at the exact time the voter is most open to receiving the message. “Our new algorithmic process receives feedback from actions taken during CTV commercials and feedback after the CTV commercial airs from retargeted rich media and banner units. The longer AiLFA™ is on, the smarter she becomes through identifying media consumption habits and response behaviors to each end user,” Herrman explains.
“By combining OBM’s technology with standardizing polling, we can ensure better results in awareness, favorability and voter enthusiasm in the races in which we choose to participate,” says Dr. Jetta. “This partnership will allow us to put our donors’ investments to great use, with measurable impact on important races.”
